Our Story

After a nearly 40 year hiatus, the iconic brand was brought to life again by a new group of music enthusiasts living in its hometown of Austin. Armadillo Records pioneers, produces, and champions music initiatives, embodying Austin's magnetic fusion of music and entrepreneurship. Using our one-of-a-kind record plating machine, we partner with artists to meticulously create commemorative memorabilia for fans and timeless pieces for collectors in 24k gold. Each piece tells a story, capturing the essence and spirit of its era.

Don’t see the album you want? Give your favorite music the touch of gold. We’ll find the album of your choice to be plated in 24-karat gold, complete with high-quality framing and matte color of your choice.

How it works: 

  1. Fill out the form below and indicate which album and artist you’d like, what color frame and matte is desired, and your contact information.
  2. Our in-house Vinyl Specialist will connect with you and work to find the exact record you’re looking for.
  3. We’ll send you a quote and if all looks good, we’ll also include a custom link for you to place your order.
  4. Once your order is placed, we’ll secure your record, finalize the framing details, and turn your record to real gold or silver. 
  5. We’ll set your record in a high-quality frame and mail it right to your door.

Availability and Pricing:
Special requests (custom orders) are only for pre-existing albums that have been pressed onto vinyl. If you are looking for a specific song, our team will look for the album it is featured on.
Pricing will depend on the availability of your record and the upgrades you select (ex: platinum, autographed, rare release).
The average price range for this service is $300+. You will be given a quote before we move into final production.
